It started with a kindergarten order
Gulasal Idiyeva began at eighteen, sewing toys for the kindergartens of her neighbourhood. Those first orders later grew into a whole workshop.
Miss Shakhrizada is a family workshop in the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region. For more than twenty years we have been sewing children's toys and national souvenirs.

A craftswoman from Bukhara and the founder of Miss Shakhrizada. She started sewing children's toys as a teenager and made it her life's work. Today she runs her own workshop, draws every pattern herself and teaches the craft to her apprentices.

She has never stopped learning: new shapes, new sewing techniques, her own patterns drawn by hand, and a collection refreshed every season.
Over twenty years more than a hundred apprentices have learned the craft here. Around thirty of them work in the workshop today — for them it is both a trade and an income.
